What the Fire & Emergency set will cover
Every layout is written against the published standard, and a competent person in that trade reviews it — which is why the trades arrive one at a time rather than everything shipping at once. Where a form is released before that review, we say so against it rather than leaving you to assume.
Nothing below is in the app today. Buying Complete now does not unlock it early — it locks in the price.
Written, awaiting sign-off
These are built and tested, and are waiting on a BS 5839-1 and BS 5266-1 competent person to check the layout against the current model form. Until that happens they do not appear in the app at all — a form you can fill in for an hour and then not issue is worse than one that is honestly missing.
- Fire Detection & Alarm System Certificate (BS 5839-1)
- Emergency Lighting Certificate (BS 5266-1)
- Fire Extinguisher Commissioning and Service Record
Where a standard is amended we update the templates and note the change in the app.
Built for fire and emergency lighting engineers
The paperwork,
without the paperwork.
This is how the Fire & Emergency forms behave. They are built and tested, and none of it reaches you until a BS 5839-1 and BS 5266-1 competent person has signed the layouts off.
Untested devices block the certificate
A device left untested, or audibility left unconfirmed, stops it. Those are the two things a commissioning certificate exists to state.
No invented limits
Category, zones, standby and the device schedule are recorded as found. No numeric threshold is encoded anywhere the standard does not set one.
Handover, written down
Zone chart, logbook and training appear on the certificate as advisory items rather than being quietly assumed.
Lighting and extinguishers share the record
BS 5266-1 duration tests and BS 5306-3 servicing sit on the same site. A failed duration test can be certified as a record of the failure, with a remedial note.
