Certably vs Tradecert

Tradecert has been going since 2025 and is the most established option in the category, with 63 App Store ratings. If you want the safest, most proven choice, it is a reasonable one. Certably launched on 5 August 2026, costs £99 a year for BS 7671 work, and is heading for electrical, PAT, fire and gas in a single app. Today it does electrical only.

- Electrical only. PAT, fire and gas are not covered.
Which one should you actually use?
Stay with Tradecert if
Electricians who want a modern electrical-only app and are comfortable asking for a price.
Try Certably if
You do BS 7671 work, want your certificates checked for problems before a client sees them, and object on principle to paying four subscriptions to one industry. It costs nothing to find out: download it, build a certificate and read the finished PDF before you pay anything. Certably is weeks old, so you are trading a track record for a lower price and a tighter workflow.
Being straight with you
Certably went on the App Store on 5 August 2026. It has no ratings yet and has not been tested by thousands of electricians the way Tradecert has. It issues eight BS 7671 certificates and nothing else — PAT, fire and gas are written but not released. Every layout is written against the current BS 7671 model forms and reviewed by a qualified engineer, but a checked layout is not the same as 1 years of use. If you need something proven today, buy the proven thing.
